PHA Moving to Work Application Available for Public Review
The Portsmouth Housing Authority (PHA) has developed its plan & application package for the Moving to Work (MTW) Demonstration Program offered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It is available for review & public comment at our main office located at 245 Middle Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801. The public comment period ends on November 21, 2023 at 3PM. The PHA is open Monday 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday 8:30AM to 4:30PM, and Friday 8:30 AM to 12 PM.
A public hearing will be held on November 21, 2023 at the Authority’s office at 1:00 PM, located at 245 Middle Street, Portsmouth, NH. The hearing will be to discuss our application for this special program. This program gives public housing authorities (PHAs) like ours a chance to create and test new ideas that help use federal funds better. It aims to support residents in finding jobs, becoming more independent, and providing more housing options for families with low incomes.
