Why Invest in Our Project?
For more than 65 years, the Portsmouth Housing Authority has been developing permanently affordable rental housing for the people of Portsmouth. Today, we house nearly 5% of the population of the city in over 600 rental units across 11 properties in Portsmouth.
The PHA is continuing this strong tradition and is taking a bold new step to help address the affordable housing crises in the city by building 64 new permanently affordable rental units in the heart of downtown. The Court Street Workforce Housing Project will support the local economy by providing new non-profit owned affordable apartments that are walkable to thousands of jobs and services. This will be the largest expansion of permanently affordable housing in the city in nearly 50 years and a model for affordable housing development in the State of New Hampshire.
The Court Street Workforce Housing project was awarded $375,000 in Tax Credits that will allow you to make an important contribution to the local economy and offset your New Hampshire tax liability.
